Choreographer and director, Neil Paris, and Our Woods Creative Producer, Ros Stoddart, are looking for people who enjoy moving and dancing to form a new company specifically for DREAMING OUR WOODS.

In a short taster session you will have the opportunity to meet Neil and Ros to discover more about the project and take part in a workshop which will introduce you to the ways in which Neil works as a choreographer and director.

The session will include a simple warm up, games and exercises which will explore different ways of moving, some short creative tasks and possibly a simple routine to learn. We will work in groups and individually and always with a smile on our faces!

This opportunity is open to anyone with a interest in expressing themselves through dance and movement. Previous experience is not essential but enthusiasm is a must.

If this sounds like something you may be interested in then please do come along and say hello.

DRTT Choir member, Jenny Williams, who worked with Neil a few weeks back on an "Our Woods" event says:

"I am so pleased that I took part in the week-long dance project ‘Wild Woods’ with Neil Paris. Feeling quite nervous, I really wasn’t sure what to expect, but I needn’t have worried. Neil is an exceptional teacher whose gentle, thoughtful approach inspires you to experiment, being brave, and fully immerse yourself in the creative process. That feeling of connection with the surrounding nature, in a beautiful, ancient woodland was so powerful and inspiring, which in turn, led to many ‘wow’ moments. Very early into the week I became completely at ease with the group and the process of building up the choreography. Working with Neil was challenging in the best way. Every idea was valid and explored and by the end of the week, I felt very proud of what we had achieved. I feel excited about the next phase of the project and can’t wait to be part of the final finale performances in May 2017."
