NCF Awards 2022 - DRTT nominated for "Lifetime Achievement Award"

We are delighted to announce that Deep Roots Tall Trees have been shortlisted for the prestigious Northamptonshire Community Foundation Annual Awards this year and have been shortlisted in the Lifetime Achievement Award. 

Our Artistic Director, Neil Paris says:

"It's absolutely wonderful to receive this nomination. The Deep Roots Tall Trees Choir is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and many members, including our Music Director Gareth Fuller, have been involved since the very beginning. They’ve been there for each other through rain and shine, coming together regularly every week, and even attending online rehearsals throughout the Covid pandemic. I feel that this nomination not only recognises the artistic quality that Deep Roots Tall Trees aspires to achieve with our choir, songwriters and dancers but also the incredibly important and valuable bonds of friendship and community that have been forged over the past 10 years. If we were fortunate enough to win this award it would be the icing on the cake and a fantastic way to finish the year."

The Awards, hosted by Northamptonshire Community Foundation, offer the chance to shout about the incredible work that community groups do across the county.

This year’s ceremony, taking place at the Royal & Derngate Theatre on Thursday 8th December, provides the opportunity to celebrate all those who are determined to give back locally to the communities in which they live and work.
