Charlotte Spencer
Charlotte works as a choreographer, facilitator, curator and performer nationally and internationally. Working across art forms, her work rises from the landscape and is often designed for outdoor public spaces. Through each artistic project she strives to build community by inviting people to re-encounter themselves in relationship to their lives and their environment.
Charlotte is an Artist Activator at Greenwich Dance, part of Sadler’s Wells Summer University 2015-18, and was Associate Artist at The Point, Eastleigh 2010-13. She works with Siobhan Davies Dance to design and run Next Choreography - a course in choreography for young people. Charlotte is currently working on an ambitious new outdoor performance piece, Is this a Waste Land? which will premiere in 2017. Critically acclaimed Walking Stories, an audio walk for parks, was created in 2013 through an expansive and unique touring project, Cycle Stories. It continues to tour nationally and internationally. She has just completed a commission from Salisbury International Arts Festival 2016 for DANCE SIX-0. Other commissions have included Brighton&Hove Libraries, Jerwood Gallery, Turner Contemporary, and Siobhan Davies Dance.
