Woods for the Trees
The second walk of this festival with local historian Dr Peter Hill exploring Hazel and Thoroughsale Woods. Peter will look at the myths, legends and histories that have shaped Corby, from Roman rule to the present day. Peter’s breadth of knowledge and research entertains young and old alike. Expect to hear tales of poachers, a haunted gamekeeper’s cottage, Roman connections as well as encountering present day deer trails and animalesque forms in tree features.
