- Dreaming Our Woods - song lyrics
Matthew Oates
Matthew Oates is a naturalist, author, broadcaster and poet, and a specialist on butterflies. He works part-time as a specialist advisor to the National Trust, and writes regularly for The Times Nature Notebook. Although a nature conservationist by calling, he is greatly interested in people’s relationships with nature and with places, and has a strong interest in the concept of spirit of place. His work embraces both science at art.
In "Our Woods", Matthew invites us to discover the special spirit of Corby. Closely involved with the National Trust’s Spirit of Place programme, Matthew conveys his passion for the special nature of the trees and woodlands in and around Corby. What trees do for us? And what we can do for them? Participants will work with Matthew to produce a short spirit of place statement for Corby woods. BOOK HERE
