Further Information from The Eloquent Fold:

The first event (4th September), a walk with Eloquent Fold artist's Carole Miles and Phiona Richards who many of you will know from our area for their highly creative, fun, hands-on workshops through printmaking, stitching and other techniques. The walk will take you round East Carlton Park and will involve moments to stop, draw or participate in a creative activity. All of these elements will add to your ideas for your artwork inspired by these lovely woods and trees. The second part of their collaboration is the creative workshop the following Sunday. Carole will be leading a printmaking workshop whilst Phiona will be showing participants how to embellish leaves with stitches to create a unique artwork. Don't worry if you've never used a needle or made a print before, don't worry if you feel you can't sew or draw - The Eloquent Fold are here to guide you towards surprising, delightful end results. The two days are a means of setting the scene and generating ideas that could inform part of the Deep Roots Tall Trees spectacular concerts in May 2017. The two days will encourage participants to look a little deeper into the creative potential to be found gazing through leaves, connecting with trees. If walking is a problem you are welcome to attend the second session only, The Eloquent Fold will have plenty of woodland imagery on hand to inspire you. At the end of the second session there will be a marvellous tea party served in vintage or specially decorated crockery. The Eloquent Fold can't wait to meet you and share their enthusiasm for making and doing in Our Woods!
